The studio was founded in April 2004.
The aim of its establishing was:
- to study and popularise Latvian traditional ethnography;
- to aid in development and implementation of ethnographic style interior and design projects;
- to acquaint with elements of ethnographic culture of Latvians and their neighbouring nations, to aid the ones interested in that to acquire authentic, reconstructed or stylised ethnographic items;
- to participate in different educational projects.
